Crypto Markets In Calm Waters As Bitcoin And Ethereum Stabilize The Ship – City AM | Jewelry Dukan

Thursday, September 15, 2022 at 11:13 am

Bitcoin’s price has stabilized at just above $20,000, at least for now, changing hands at $20,282 this morning – down just 0.07 percent over the past 24 hours.

Other major cryptocurrencies are also largely flat. Even Ethereum, which is finally seeing its long-awaited upgrade to a new way of verifying transactions today, has remained steady at $1,600 for the past 24 hours. Was it priced in?

There may not be much excitement in the markets, but at least it’s an exciting day for long-term crypto investors. Ethereum 2.0, as it has been known for a long time, is finally a reality. The move to a proof-of-stake consensus mechanism is expected to immediately reduce the energy consumption of the second largest cryptocurrency by market value by more than 99%. Will it change the game?
